A true trispoke is three wide airfoil blades running hub to rim, a design the HED H3 made legendary. The Aerospoke, five round-section spokes and a flat rim, is a different animal that borrowed the silhouette but not the aerodynamics.

The trispoke earned its myth in the early 1990s time trial and triathlon scene and never left: the same molded three-blade idea still wins races thirty years on, because three thick airfoils moving through air beat dozens of round wires dragging turbulence behind them.
The Aerospoke, beloved of 2000s street fixed-gear culture, looks cousin-close and rides nothing alike: round-section spokes, heavier, and aerodynamically closer to a normal wheel. Loved for durability and looks, not for watts. Both are cultural icons; only one is an aero wheel.
